Marie Mell

Returning for her fifth year as Director of the MBJA and Chairperson of the West Michigan Youth Sailing Association (WMYSA), Marie Mell brings a wealth and breadth of sailing experience and knowledge. During the school year, Marie teaches 1st Grade at Eagle Crest Charter Academy, in Holland.

Marie has a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from Ohio University and is currently enrolled at Western Michigan University, working towards and education Master’s Degree in Literacy Studies.

She is the proud owner of a Melges 24 named Hot for Teacher, which she looks forward to racing every summer.
